About Me

Jeffrey P. Blum has served as a family law attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 33 years. He is a trained mediator, arbitrator, litigator, private judge, and active member of the community. He has served on the Palo Alto Human Relation’s Commission for 6 years, serving as chair of the commission for 1 year. He also served on the YMCA Board of Directors. Currently, he is a volunteer mediator with the Palo Alto Mediation Program.

Jeffrey P. Blum has successfully resolved hundreds of family law cases, including cases involving child custody/visitation, support, domestic violence and property division. He is an experienced mediator who has taught mediation at Stanford and lectured on mediation as well as other topics. He founded the Family Law Section and is co-chair of it for the Palo Alto Bar Association. He is also on the Alternate Dispute Resolution Panel for San Mateo County Courts serving as a mediator & arbitrator and he has also served there as a a Temporary Judge in the past.

Jeffrey P. Blum graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. degree as an English and Political Science major and he received his law degree from Golden Gate University. While in law school he clerked for Superior Court Judge Lionel Wilson in Alameda County.

Jeffrey P. Blum has been recognized for his talent, knowledge and experience by the local Family Law Bar, as is evidenced by his appointment to serve as a volunteer Judge Pro Tem and to serve on the Alternate Dispute Resolution Panel in San Mateo County.
